@cody yeahhhone of matrix's coolest but also worst things is the state model; all servers in a room have to have consistent state otherwise everything breaks, so defederation would... cause problemsi think there are ACLs? i'm not entirely sure about that, but defedration in a typical sense isn't a thing

just had a flashback to the time i shot a laptop with a gun and it didn't go through the case. was a 9mm round and it left a nasty dent but the thing still booted.i think it was the .357 that punched through though. hell of a laptop! was a 2003 or so toshiba satellite.
