OK, so Microsoft stance on copyright infringement is: you can violate open source licenses when using our tools, no problem, we got lawyers. https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2023/09/07/copilot-copyright-commitment-ai-legal-concerns/

@wolf480pl Would have to read the standard, but I think joining the ends in the receptable is not mandatory. E.g. I have seen cursed USB-C cables that have one function when plugged in one orientation, and a different function when turned 180 deg.

@ignaloidas @wolf480pl My interpretation is that what is mandatory is that devices operate in both positions, and that shorting the pins is one way of achieving it. But as long as device operates in both positions, I don't think nobody checks if cables are shorted.

Every time I write alt text on Mastodon images, I cannot avoid thinking that this produces ideal content to feed AI models.

Why does #Mozilla think the few people that are still using #Firefox, are there? The people that were still using it in the darkest times before Quantum, when performance was atrocious. Yep, it's because #privacy. What do they think will happen now that they have modified their TOS to sell your data? 🤦‍♂️https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/commit/d459addab846d8144b61939b7f4310eb80c5470e

@whitequark Gitlab also has free CI runners (although they are limited to 400 minutes/month on non open source projects). Unfortunately Gitlab might not be the best option if you are out from GH because of AI.

Any #RF experts in here? Ordered 10 #GNSS / #GPS antennas from Digikey, 5 of them look like the one on the top, but the other 5 have a notch that doesn't look right. Could it be the result of some kind of antenna adjustment/calibration, or should I open a ticket?

@foone Interesting, why would they do that? Usually these are to cut costs, but changing a 35 MHz MIPS I for a 440 MHz PowerPC doesn't seem cheaper 🤷‍♂️
