ideally my workflow would consist of defining a bunch of ron scenes (prefabs) with overrides, and have everything Just Work, which I believe is a possibility with the new asset preprocessor. A game editor is much more difficult though and seems to be far in the future. Bevy UI is still very barebones.

Speaking of UI, i love egui. But i wish every method ever wasnt under "ui". I get that's kind of how it all works but i can't wrap my head around where i can do what sometimes

I also don't know why there is seemingly no OnUpdate type. systems seem asymmetrical with.add_systems(Update, thing.run_if(in_state(S::Main)).add_systems(EnterState(S::Main), other_thing)

@protonprivacy Thank you for the response, but I don't think that is correct. You can still store only the hash of the email. For example: When user requests recovery, they can input their recovery email. The server would then check that the hash of the user provided email matches the stored hash. If it does, the server sends the recovery email to the provided address (or keeps the email for as long as needed for operations before scrubbing).

my other big gripe with ai is that people generating ai code are inscrutably raining shit on the rest of the development world, and it's because of a lack of empathy. these people can't be fucked to spend more than 2 minutes on writing a PR or 20 on a simple feature, but they expect *you* to review it, and expect *you* to deal with the inevitable bugs and slop they didn't even know they built. because to them, showing what they "made" is more important than your time and energy.

any argument i've had with a developer about this eventually reduces to "I'm supervising it every step of the way, AI needs a ton of context, and I'm reviewing everything it writes". ok so like. unless you physically cannot type or look at a screen i don't understand the purpose of doing this over, you know, typing things. maybe even using some IDE auto completions and snippets.
