We managed to simulate scattering patterns at very high resolution using a modified 3D Fourier Transform. This work could impact small and wide-angle X-ray scattering, as well as PDF analysis! Check out our demonstration here:https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2303.13435

@Rasp glad to see you’re still with us. From what I’ve seen of governments, I think they’re not actively evil. It’s just that the sum of people that make it up end up … dumb as a sack of bricks and easily exploitable by lobbying. Some people in government are clever, some are evil, most are inbred or incompetent beyond belief, and the end result is just utter disappointment. As I heard someone express it recently: “the government reflects the people”. I find that easier to live with.

@Rasp dating apps suck, they’re full of other people, the vast majority of whom suck. Books are much more reliable sources of entertainment. Cheaper too!

@JoshuaHolland for me, the term antisemite has become very diluted since the attacks last year. The term has been thrown about so indiscriminately that it’s lost its meaning.

@ParadeGrotesque we got one, they were very delayed in production and now the barrel socket and usb-c socket seem to have loose contacts, making charging very difficult. 😞

@aral curious as to what you’ll choose. The fairphone is the obvious candidate, but then you’re saddled with Android, which has different but equally annoying ethical and usability limitations. Or am I missing something?
