@lamp Mosfets might be used to isolate the battery from the DC source to prevent overcharging- leave it plugged in for a couple days and see what happens (maybe stored in a nice fireproof box?)

@foone Have you tried Altium? I ran their free-trial for a while a couple revisions ago, had a huge parts library and strict design rules. Was great for a simple rectangular board design and wouldn’t let me screw up spacing or edge clearance. The software gated when I tried a circular board with radial component alignments and no software likes arc segments for traces…

@lamp Sorry I don’t know what uwu means but I am frightened that you have four duplex outlets daisy chained together with 14ga wire and powered by what looks like a single 14ga wire. If all you are going to connect is cell phone chargers it’s probably ok but if this is in the kitchen and you have a toaster, microwave, can opener, stand mixer, immersion blender, coffee maker, glade plug-in air freshener, and countertop ice machine all connected you should keep the fire extinguisher nearby

@lamp Thank you for correcting me regarding the wire gauge it is hard to judge with all of the electrical tape. I myself only have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a second Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, a Masters in Construction Management and consult for larger commercial and residential developments…you obviously know what you are doing having wrapped the outlets so well.

@fcktheworld587 Yes, I totally prefer the human representative with limited knowledge of the language(s) I can speak and understand compared to the AI that speaks clear nonsense and gets stuck trying to interpret the sixteen digit number I’ve read five times…

@wjmaggos Regardless of who they say they are, never let them take you alive to the second location. Kick, scream, gouge out eyes, grab privates and tear off their faces (and face masks)…

@cdarwin This has happened in the past, a competition pistol champion was at home. Plainclothes detectives conducted a no knock warrant (had the wrong address) and he killed both before they got a chance to yell “police”. He was fined for discharging a firearm within city limits…of course he wasn’t minority so the follow up uniformed police allowed him to surrender unharmed.

I hope when the Capital Police took his statement they were like…”And did you get their social security numbers? How about their banking information? Do you know their credit scores and employment history?” https://www.wired.com/story/edward-coristine-big-balls-assaulted-alleged-carjacking/

@argv_minus_one I don’t blame the HDD RW speed for slow computing, Win3.11 (which was full of crap like Compuserve and Winfax) took 8 - 1.44MB floppy discs to install and expanded to about 14MB. The problem is “modern” OS have 30+ years of bad coding and bloat buried in there.

Questions that the media should ask the Orange Turd today, but won’t:Will you take a DNA test to prove your identity? What was in the bags thrown from the WH window?Where are the Epstein files? There were reports of a lot of documents being shredded, were those the Epstein files? How many top-secret documents do you have in your possession not inside the WH?

@AnnetteLicitra I am not an historian but used to remodel several properties each year. East Wing was first opened in 1902 and expanded in 1942. From those dates alone I would expect lead pipes, lead paint, cloth-wrapped wiring, and rock wool asbestos insulation. Might have horse hair and asbestos plaster work too. I thought it was remodeled around JFK, maybe some of the bad was cleaned out.

@StaleDonut That’s just before you find out the Sound Blaster is now using the same Com port as the mouse, which either doesn’t work or causes a white noise whenever the mouse is moved
