@cheyenne Yes, & the military targets & traps the poor into joining, the rich dont really serve.However, I think1) Theres also a lot of ppl wh'ore inspired to join the military to support the hate aspects of who the U.S. & other countries w/ imperialist practices go to war w/, & the hateful attitudes w/in the ranks & in dehumanizing the ppl in the societies theyre at war w/.2) Someone in the military assimilates into its prejudiced treatment & acclimates to harmful norms, & the soldier isnt generally free 2 extinguish or address a harmful social attitude being reinforced by the social structures theyre operating under in the military. Its not only hierarchical but actively conformist & humanly suppressive & limiting in options, b-c thats how governments act towards society.Unfortunately, all you may be able to say to a friend joining the military w/out devaluing them unsupportively is that trauma is likely.Some soldiers gain deep insight to share about society & stuff

@kaikatsu How does it get the means to execute the code on the client w/out the instance approval, user consent, or client code rules for running this program & not others?i.e., without modifying the instances & clients that are running, why is this new program running?

@sadcatstarry Bi+ ppl are a beauty of their own. Lesbian+ & queer are valid identities. You wouldnt be the first lesbian-identifying person to express interests w/ multiple genders, its more of a secret society or esoteric rodeo than a logical delineation of wlmhood.Most of my partners have been bi+. A bi/pan girl took my big girl virginity, & was the first person to connect w/ me in a serious romantic relationship! She encouraged healthier ideas about polyam & BDSM that nobody else couldv at the time,whether we were working out what we thought between us or it was ideas she already had. She definitly had a strong perspective difference.Where theres bi+ ppl, I & a lot of others can form a safe space.When ppl see bi+ ppl that way, it comes from homophobic & transphobic ideology & lack of interest in sexuality's diversity, even theyre LGBT+ too.:_gayheart2: Were here! were queer! get used to it! :heart_eyes_cat_bi:

@webmind @kew I dont care. Smoking bans are used to disperse the homeless, to keep them from congregating. Ppl w/ homes who smoke are immune.Your feelings about others' stress management behaviors are irrelevant when the social group simply has them in numbers.Open ur community to smokers or gtfo, honestly.Vaping didnt make me quit, I didnt need chewing tobacco either, I needed ppl to stop pushing on me to give others permission to intervene in my behavior.Cigarettes are stable currency.Vapes are for white bros who like the control it gives them over who smokes & whose smoking.

@webmind @kew Its not just the police. The problem is the ban itself is there to give leverage for everyone associated w/ the building to tell ppl to leave.And they do!Im not going to just ignore the ones that smoke.Its about whether u can protect ur community from being pushed out of the area where their community is or not. Thats your herd protection.Cause those ppl whore getting successfully made to leave to smoke are going to get harassed when they come back for s-th else.And its not always in accordance with the ban that ppl come after u. Even if ur well away from the bus stop at another business, bus drivers will harrass u until they either make u leave or get u a ticket.When smoking outside, as long as asthmatics & ppl w/ emphysema can get out of the way of the smoke by a few ft, its not causing anyone health problems.

@webmind @kew Mmk. Now that yer talkin about. Bein rude in general. I try & make a safe distance from situations that make the immediate area of the smoke unavoidable to ppl.Its better if I dont have to spend time obsessing over my smoking activity & the fact that Im smoking, beyond a basic respect for others comfort like not smoking indoors.At some point u have to consider my judgement as well & avoid interfering w/ others' autonomy when it isnt necessary.

@piponfishing Yes. When I went to a friends house as a kid, we were there a little bit, & they showed me some arbitrary thing like a fruit basket & asked if I would buy it. I said no, so they said, "Well thats what I invited you over for." Youre just supposed to have the money wherever you go, you know? Cant be hanging out w/ ppl who wont even pay their fair share.

Hi, Im runKleisli!Im asking for $200/mo to cover the rest of my rent & utilities.I was recently forced out of my home by ppl using a pattern of harrassment & gaslighting leading up to a domestic violence incident, & this forced me to detransition while homeless, as they withheld my medication & it was unsafe to take it & keep it w/ me.
