       @mjg59 Yes, and even if they had great cryptographers, I am very curious to see what limitations this new system has.  For one, EE2E while also still allowing access via a web browser is a… tricky thing which often comes with interesting tradeoffs.

       @mjg59 All true, but I also remember how many months/years it took to ratify, impose, and update all the various devices to recognize the last agreed upon penalty for CA misconduct.

       @mjg59  ah so you had this reaction too.  The moment I saw this I mumbled aloud to myself that I still needed another decade to process that node.js is a thing and I wasn’t ready to think about anything beyond that yet.

       @mjg59 for me I think the biggest deal for me is latency, if it’s below 100ms then throughput is not super noticeable.  Above and… I start to feel like things are slow.
