Can we all agree that companies who only allow SMS for 2FA (several of the ones I use in the healthcare space for example, or the NYT) or only allow one specific proprietary app with ridiculous permission requirements (looking at you, E*Trade) should be publication shamed and yelled at?I mean, sure, maybe that's better than not having any 2FA, but come on please. There are well established standards both for authenticator apps and for hardware security tokens.Please support those!

Are there any Mastodon clients that try to address the "I keep seeing the same popular post on my timeline because it gets boosted over and over again" problem?That should be something a client could filter out.This morning it was really off-putting. Internal message at Verizon, so I won't quote it... but in essence it was celebrating a coworker for their 50th work anniversary today.Fifty. Years.Judging by some of the resumes that I'm getting lately, currently making it to 50 weeks in the same job can be called an achievement. A while ago I got interested in #ADS-B (or #adsb ) tracking of airplanes (the whole Elon-jet debacle was part of that). And as I tend to do with these things... I may have gotten hooked.
