       When I was 5, the schoolyard teasing of "If you kiss your elbow you change into a girl," a silly children's mythology, made circles at our elementary.Fascinated by the mythology, I would attempt to kiss my elbow. Eventually my grandfather caught me, and asked me why I was doing that. I told him the myth. He told me to stop it, that a boy can never be a girl, and to not listen to such nonsense.And that was the end of it. I am quite happy and have a family of my own now.Today, if that same thing were to happen, there is a likely chance that I would be coerced into taking puberty blockers/hormones and begin the "gender affirming treatment" - eventually surgery, I imagine. A young person has no idea about reality, even to the degree that if they kiss their elbow, they might instantaneously have a sex change. But, being 5, I believed it.It is foolish to believe that a positive determinate outcome can be achieved though affirmation of delusion. We do not encourage the extremely paranoid to remove their skin to remove the subdermal implants the government injected into them in their sleep. By your standards: we should.
