@MishaalRahman While I've been foldable-intrigued for some time, I think these comparisons have sold me on the concept of a foldable.(It'll probably be quite a while before I actually get one, granted.)

@MishaalRahman I'm glad to hear these all sound applicable to custom ROMs, too; nothing unique to the latest processors. With weekly updates for LineageOS and such, that positive impact might be felt even more often.

@MishaalRahman I'm glad Google is providing a way to change the default source.I don't get why you can only pick one cloud media provider to enable, though. The old file picker integration lets you choose at the time of browsing; here, they could probably just show a merged list of media.

@MishaalRahman I wonder if Google will wind up introducing more restrictions after the sideloading flow, similar to how accessibility permissions are blocked at first when installed via the method most file and web browser apps use (versus the session? based method F-Droid uses). And can this smoother sideloading flow be bundled with requiring even higher targetSdk versions?

@soatok With this and your blog post, that clarifies how to approach conversation - I'm not using a "Signal" alternative. I'm using a "bit more secure than Discord/etc messaging" alternative, especially with self-hosting the server too.My priorities differ from yours, I'm not currently in a situation where I'm comfortable depending on my phone number for account access and tying myself to a single client, but I'll see how Signal evolves. I recognize it gets very complex to solve certain problems if you're not able to have control over development of both the server and all clients.

@davidrevoy Oh, I hadn't heard… I.. I just don't get how Mozilla keeps making these choices that burn community goodwill. But your comic is a fun, lighthearted way to represent it. One day that fox of fire will have a good caretaker.

@jimsalter Eesh…I guess one thing about this tumultuous time is making it a lot easier to see which folks actually care about inclusivity. I hope this is a wake-up call for the community to improve. I can only hope.

@davidrevoy That's something I genuinely miss about Clippy as an assistant - everything was drawn, crafted, with attention and care.I'd totally go for this too!(I recognized that "download" URL because I've been sending a few folks that way too…)

@ticky Thank you for leading this! I look forward to freeing up the 6 characters of "he/him" so I can fit more of what also matters in my status instead - the Bee Movie script.(…not actually, just happy to see this!)

@ticky Now that I've updated Open Beta on my Linux VR rig, it's pretty much what I had hoped for - clearly visible, but not obtrusive! Thanks again for leading this =^.^=

@ticky Yep…And it's usually hard to tell this in advance unless there's enough reviews or such for a product. I only found out months into owning a little Bluetooth DAC when I modernized my chargers, far too late to return.
