@RoboftheVolcano Here's one you might not know - my grandmother used to boil hers in milk with some butter added. It's a Southern USA thing I guess. It plumps up the kernels and they are super juicy and taste amazing. My wife loves corn on the cob - one of her favorites - and after she tried Granny's corn she switched to this method and has never gone back. My guess is that you're basically brining the corn by doing this.
