       @kzimmermann it used to be fine, just a neutral email service. It used to allow anonymous signup. Things changed a couple of years ago when it started to blackmail users to provide personal info.

But the funniest part is that in the long term this proves to be common sense and justified, something that isn''t obvious immediately starts making sense after a while.

       @kev it is not transparent for the user. In pursuit of the so-called "user friendliness"  that was trumpeted by marketing guys, it ended hiding EVERYTHING that happens under the hood. No relevant logging, no relevant verbose text messages to stdout, just nothing. Casually using Windows after many years of Linux only makes me feel like I have cataracts. And Android is just the same.
