@Mrfunkedude what is crazy is that this is the only "challenging" thing about Mastodon. I was ready to jump ship from the birdsite (and a friend had already come over) - I couldn't join mastodon.social because it was not available at the time and rushed to a decision as to which instance to join (happy to be part of the one I'm in but might've selected something that was more focused on a hobby perhaps). That selection definitely did stop some of my birdsite friends from coming over though. 🙁On the plus side, I think it keeps a bunch of shitty people off of Mastodon also!

The average person just wants a roof over their head, food in their belly, and a bit of leisure time before they shuffle off this mortal coil. The average person doesn't mind putting in time for the betterment of society as long as they are provided for and compensated for their labor efforts.Grifters and con men, under the guise of religion, enterprise, or government have worked both in concert and independently to convince the average person that their neighbor doesn't want the same thing they do. They turn countries against countries, religions against religions, and people against people - for greed and power. I hope that one day enough of us wake up from this and push back, there are far more of us than there are of them.

@lowqualityfacts I had to go verify that this was a thing. 🤯 Up to this point, I thought the cybertruck was the ugliest project he was attached to. He's like the poster boy for a bad product manager. "Maybe if I cater to our worst users I'll make the best product ever!"
