@igeljaeger sometimes windows makes changes via cmd, only M$ would know why.

@igeljaeger It's rational that they are the best, but it's also rational that they aren't the only search engine. Isn't it also rational if your entire internet footprint is going via a single company is a cause for concern? Maybe he should set up a presentation with sources on the subject. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/12/technology/personaltech/ethical-tech-consumer.html

@igeljaeger Doesn't work so well. I noticed that Linux (or Windows) sometimes mess around with the computer's time. After using Linux, rebooting back to Windows the time would be 2 hours behind. I tried setting the timezones ahead but doesn't fix the problem.

I found out just now (how stupid of me, it's so obvious) Google Play Services and Play Store must be running and fully updated if you wish to receive the latest security updates for your device. @ChrisWere

@AppleStrudelMan @ChrisWere These patches rolled out either by Google or you phone manufacturer to improve system stability and plug possible loopholes in device security.

@fdroidorg Newpipe works perfect, but it seems to break now and then, probably because Youtube made some changes to the site.

In the near future, Microsoft and Apple might lose their userbase to Google. Chrome will evolve from a browser to an operating system, running on a SFF system powerful enough to stream content to your desktop including gaming. Servers on the cloud would do your graphics rendering and the PC Master Race would come to an end. Consoles and Mobile Phones just might still exist, tablets would quietly disappear.

@infosechandbook this ought to be expected, since Google solemnly refuses other app stores a chance.
