@mjg59 I think to do that you would need to shadow both the MMU and IOMMU (and both are required otherwise an "attacker" can just tell a driver to DMA your protected zone), but once you have that the rest should be "simple"

@mjg59 The biggest issue with SMS 2FA is how easy it is to social engineer many mobile providers, but that is not inherently a problem with SMS 2FA, that is a problem with how mobile providers work (and even then still better than no 2FA!)

@mjg59 kinda wouldn't be surprised if internally the fTMP RNG and RDRAND instruction are actually wired to the same piece of silicon in the end. In which case it wouldn't matter at all which one you'd use. Also even if this isn't the case, assuming they are the same doesn't sound like a bad assumption to make

@foone from experience I can tell that dust can make an optical mouse loose tracking, though cleaning that is a lot easier than cleaning a ball mouse

@foone Even on a modern (reasonable high DPI) screen it doesn't look bad (can even see how in certain context it might be aesthetically more appropriate), it is just a lot clearer to see how it was done, and certainly not how it would be done today.
