       If I had one nugget of advice for players going into a new roleplaying game or setting, it would be: Embrace the trope, before you try to subvert it! Players (me included) are sometimes quick to reflexively reject a world's theme and its tropes "Okay, cool... but Imma be different!" That's fine, be different. But also be rooted in the world and consistent with the themes it provides. And then find out how you're different and why.  #ttrpg #pnpde
