@artcollisions I'm working with a mentor who doesn't believe in artist statements and instead focuses on what's important to him as a person (not specific to art. he says what you value as a human being ends up influencing/reflected in your art). FWIW. Not sure if helpful, I'm sure he said it more eloquently than me. Oh! And he shared this 😛https://www.artybollocks.com

@fsf @Cjust I was at this party and it was, literally, a bunch of soccer moms and me. So, i just kept drinking my wine, cuz.... zero to contribute there.and then this couple came over and the guy mentioned he was a programmer and so YAY! someone to talk to. We started talking and, obviously, emacs came up. And, I had maybe had an awful lot of wine at this point on account of nothing else to do for most of the party and I VERY LOUDLY AND EXCITEDLY screamed with delight about how I love emacs.and. literally. the entire party - like 50 soccer moms - stopped talking to turn and gawk at me.I'M SO GOOD AT PARTIES!!
