Okay, question for those of you who've already started cutting Google out of your lives: What's the best alternative to Google Maps if you want to store your own locations on top of a real world map? Like, places I've been or want to go, keeping track of where people in a group are located, or even just locations in fictional settings that are set in the real world?Edit for clarity: I'm looking for something comparable to Google's "My Places" feature, a personal map that I can either keep private or share with others that isn't part of a public collective.uMap might be what I need, but I need to figure out if 1. I can install it without a fucking docker container, and 2. if my current hosting has enough resources for it. Will investigate, but still open to further suggestions.

Nice to know whoever is transcribing for @Computer@dice.camp makes as many typos as I do, as they've since corrected the mistake that's in the screenshot. (Friend computer never makes mistakes, so Friend computer must be having a troubleshooter type of their missives for them. Or the misspelled words are to make sure we're paying attention.)

Get a notification that someone new decided to follow me. Go to check their bio because I don't always follow back until I've interacted with someone, but occasionally I will just because they seem interesting.Reach the point where they call Orange Führer "clown" and lolnope, we're out of here. @netkitty@meow.social The flat screens have better pictures... but maybe people should compromise by building a shelf above and behind the flat screens with a heated pad just for kitties to sleep on?
