@skyfaller When I learned my co-plaintiffs in a tech lawsuit went to a Quaker college, I was confused: I thought Quakers were old fashioned and weren't allowed to use computers. (That shows how much I knew!) That made me curious, so I started Googling around and liked what I saw a lot.I decided to visit Palo Alto Friends Meeting, and who should I see there but Eric Roberts, head lecturer for Stanford's Computer Science core (and a very longtime Friend)? Blew my mind.

@Rhube Yes! Also remember the crappy Flash games and animations that folks published on community sites like AlbinoBlackSheep? That's where stuff like Angry Birds and Badge Badger Badger got started. That kind of welcoming and goofy maker zeitgeist was great.

So the CEO of OpenAI got fired today for not being sufficiently candid with his Board. Oof. And the chairman is out! I'd be shocked if we didn't see a book and movie about this (someone suggested the somewhat snarky "Control Altman Deleted").But depending on the circumstances, one has to wonder if this ends up being material to Microsoft -- and if so, a consequential shareholder lawsuit, because in the immortal words of Matt Levine "everything is securities fraud".

Moods are funny thing. Sometimes everything is going wonderfully and I still feel grouchy. Today, I'm in a fair bit of pain, underslept, have been chasing a medical issue around without any success at all, and I'm actually feeling pretty great.
