       We need #diversity in @fsfe to move forward our work on #foss and freedom. Diversity is an indicator of and is indispensable for freedom. But how can we achieve that? We have to remove any and all barriers for speakers and activists to share their expertise and knowledge with the community. That means encouragement, financial support, childcare offers, a culture of being welcome. We have to bring voices not normally heard to our community. We need mentors and supporters, not heroes.

       Am 24.10. helfe ich den (vermutlich meist älteren Menschen) in unserer Wohngenossenschaft in #Hannover bei ihren Problemen mit Smartphone &amp; Co. Ich bin gespannt auf die Probleme und ob ich als einziger, der kein WhatsApp hat, das wieder einrichten darf. 😉 Mein Ziel ist es, neben konkreter Hilfe, auch Alternativen wie #FDroid, Signal, @Tutanota usw. vorzustellen. Einfach um zu zeigen, dass es das gibt und es neben GMail, WhatsApp etc. noch mehr gibt, das nicht mit Werbung und Tracking nervt. 😎

       @hoergen Stimme dir teils zu, kann dir aber als ein Organisator von LPDs sagen, dass es sehr aufwendig und zeitintensiv ist, Kontakt zur Lokalzeitung/lokalen Radiosendern herzustellen, im Szeneblättern zu inserieren, Flyer gestalten, drucken und verteilen, Webseite zu bauen, Social-Media-Kanäle bedienen, freiwillige Helfer*innen + evtl. Verpflegung organisieren und dann den Tag selbst managen ist alles nicht mal eben gemacht. Leute die mitmachen werden dringend gesucht.😇

       @rusty @hoergen Naja, mit dieser Einstellung brauche ich gar nix erst anfangen, auch kein OpenSource-Projekt. Mir machen solche Aktionen Spaß und ich kann ja auch erstmal klein Anfangen und mir Kooperationspartner suchen. Außerdem finde ich es gut, dass sich die LUGs öffentlich präsentieren, um auf sich aufmerksam zu machen. Der LPD ist dafür ein guter Rahmen.        @rusty @hoergen Dann verstehe ich deine Kritik nicht. Zivilgesellschaft beruht immer auf Freiwilligkeit, Gutmütgkeit und den Bock etwas zu reißen von anderen. Wenn den LPD keiner möchte, dann gibt&#39;s ihn halt nicht mehr.

       @htimsxela When you run something non-interactively via ssh I suspect that there is no login shell and .bash_profile wasn&#39;t executed. However, if your shell script is bash the session script .bashrc on the remote machine should be executed. Did you set your PATH variable there?
