       @ceejbot I am with you 100%. Slack, Discord, and all the other IRC clones make for poor communities.I’ve had limited experience with Discourse, but it’s been positive. It would certainly be the first place I’d look for something on which to build a community.

       @ceejbot I’ve been running into this for the last year. I’m of the opinion that one should be permitted to provide an honest assessment of the current situation without it reflecting badly on the people who came before.Every time I bring up issues with our current system people start making excuses for the people who had my job before me, and I keep having to say, “I’m not saying they did a bad job. I’m just saying these are the issues I see and how I‘d fix them.”

       @system76 Framework looks like they do more than just support your right to repair in an abstract sense. The computer looks like it is designed with modular components specifically so that it's easy for the owner to repair/upgrade. It's a similar idea to Fairphone, I think.
