@peter @BenHarris_1 I car commuted from Providence to Waltham for three years (~1-1.5 hours each way). I almost lost my mind, and I was in constant pain from sitting so much. I'm literally healthier 15 years later.

I will say that one thing I’ve always had going for me is that I’m possessed of a top notch bullshit detector. It doesn’t really help much, because sometimes you’re contributing to the bullshit and you do so in order to afford such luxuries as a roof and daily meals. So it’s just bullshit but with the pain of knowing it’s bullshit. I would not change this about myself.

@futurebird This whole resurgence of the cassette thing is a head-scratcher anyway. Like I get it with vinyl; records are pretty and sound good if you know what you're doing. But cassettes were always an inferior format, which is why they died out as quickly as they did. The medium is easily damaged, the sound is inferior. It's just weird.
