When participating at the Web Conference 2023 in Austin, US, many speakers did not appear because they did not get a visa. Two persons of my research group did not attend because of not having a visa on time. This year, the same happens again with the AAAI conference in Vancouver, Canada. The problem is that, for some countries, visa processing times are longer than the period from the paper acceptance to the conference. We should consider the visa issue seriously when programming conferences and choosing venues. #Conferences #ComputerScience

@wikidata@wikis.world @wikidata@a.gup.peI wonder if the RDF Wikidata dump is generated from the JSON Wikidata dump or if it s generated directly from the Wikidata database. In the case that the RDF Wikidata dump is generated from the JSON dump, what is the tool using from it?#wikidata #SemanticWeb

@NatureMC @futurebird It is remarkable how cultural elements are still alive after the influence of so many other cultures. What does the number written on the pillar mean?

@futurebird Maybe some Greeks found the old axes and thought they were some tool made by different people or creatures from themselves. When the history is lost, you can imagine multiple stories; the most fantastic ones can be more viral.

@futurebird After seeing the map in the AntWiki, I think it is unlikely they cross from Argentina to Chile at the latitude of Santiago because the Mountains between both countries are so high there. However, they could cross at the latitude of Coyhaique. This is just my guess. I haven't seen ants like that in Chile.
