As a former retail worker, I know how hard the Christmas season is. People are rushed, rude, stressed, and tend to take it out on those who ring up their sales or help them find the right size sweater for Aunt Judy. Just once, be kind to a retail worker. Be patient. They sometimes endure the worst of human behavior for little pay, and they don't exist to become whipping posts for your frustrations.If you can't be kind, then at least be patient. They're doing the best they can, just like you.💜

Nothing like the feeling of drawing a boundary with someone that you should have long ago. Of course, for me, that feeling of strength and almost superhero status was mitigated somewhat when I tripped over a freakin' cat toy, fell into a small glass table, and shattered it an hour later.🤦♀️

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSo, my oral surgery was rescheduled twice - once because he had the flu and a second time because the office was flooded. They have recently begun requiring COVID tests for patients prior to surgery. I have had a booster, feel perfectly fine, and took my COVID test this morning, thinking nothing of it. One came back positive, the other negative. I have to reschedule when I get two negative results since there's a risk I do have it. Son of a.....GRRRRR

Someone just does not want me to have this oral surgery lol. If I had a THIRD test as a tie breaker, it would settle the issue. I'll have one by tomorrow, but that's too late for today's appointment if it's negative (which it likely is, as I feel perfectly fine).

Eventually, s/he will venture from the nest bole, then peek at the world outside the nest, then the territory beyond its own, then finally, the world beyond its natal area.

My cat has been in a mood. Boo gets like this on occasion. He becomes fussy, ornery, and just impossible to please. He just upped his game by jumping onto the desk and screeching into the webcam as I guided a client through a meditation. I'm in the minority in that I really do not like getting my hair cut/done. I never have. First of all, it takes forever to thin out and no matter how much I fight with the stylist, they swear they can give me a blowout despite my curly hair, so I'm in that chair for two hours of agonizing small talk while they beat my hair into submission.But that's just me.
