Experiment loaf!I made this like you’d make croissant dough, but instead of butter, I made a praline mix and used that. Then let it proof as a loaf and baked as normal. Smells fantastic. #breadPosting #bread #brioche #praline

Web people… I am generating a form with python3 and using html select statements for dropdowns (populated from data in an sqlite3 db).I have some hierarchical data, so the relevant data in dropdown2 relies on the selection in dropdown1. Obviously, at that point on javascript can see what you’ve selected in the dropdown. How can I access the js variables from python? Is that even a reasonable thing to do? Or do i need to do subsequent db calls in js?

I suspect I know the answer, as I think at the point the js is running, python has already completed everything and isn’t in a position to interact with js. But also JS won’t have any way to interact with the database. Hmm.

Gmail has apparently ignored punctuation in the user portion of email addresses on its service forever (I know, I've logged jobs about it 20 years ago). Usually their mail routing amazingly seems to work anyway, but sometimes it doesn't. As such, I get mail for other David de Groot's every now and then. Today, I received a Certificate of Attainment in Chainsaw Maintenance, Trim and cut felled trees, and Trim trees using a pole saw. 1/2

2/2The Certificate has my name on it, and nothing to say it wasn't me who did and passed the training (it wasn't, as the email address it was sent to isn't mine, but the cert doesn't have that email address on it). It's even from an Australian trainer and is a valid Nationally Recognised certification. So by happy accident, I am now qualified to maintain chainsaws, & trim and cut trees. Without ever doing any of the training at all ;-)

@mike @ash Of course soon as you have ssl or Exchange servers involved, it gets way more complicated very quickly. But yes, SMTP is a thing of beauty from a simplicity point of view (it is after all, the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).
