@realcaseyrollins @icedquinn Generic Universal Role Playing Game. It's published by https://sjgames.com It is a role playing game system that can be used to play a huge variety of genres. It uses a simple roll 3 six-sided dice and roll at or under a target number but there are lots of additional rules to add complexity if desired.

@rohrkrepierer @mdhughes Do you like crunchier games with lots of options or lighter games with fewer mechanics? Is it important to have a lot of modules available? Do you want games that can run old (A)D&D modules?Have you played other editions at all? Advanced D&D is very different than basic and very different than 3.x ed or 4th ed.I'm partial to games that have less rules that I have to keep track of.I like Castles & Crusades, which feels like a modern improvement to 1e AD&D.I also picked up Light Fantasy RPG when it was Kickstarted lat last year which is basic D&D.Pathfinder 1e is great if you like lots of options and played 3.x ed D&D.13th Age is like a blend of 3.x and 4th ed. It is medium crunch but lets you play big damn heroes with interesting powers and is great for shaping the world the way you want.

What was your first role playing game?For me, the first game I played was AD&D 2e, first game owned was TMNT and Other Strangeness.AD&D 2e still has a place in my heart. I'd play in a campaign in a heartbeat, even with all of the weird subsystems and THAC0.TMNT also has a special place, but I've only played a session of a Palladium game once or twice. I do like the rules for creating animal characters, but it wouldn't be the first system I reached for. Character creation can get really involved, and this is from someone who likes GURPS saying it.#TTRPG #TTRPGQuestionOfTheDay #GMLife

Ever regret finding an #RPG book in a store or online and not pulling the trigger and making that purchase? What was it? Did you ever get another shot at picking it up?For me, it was a copy of #GURPS Goblins in our #FLGS. I saw it, I was intrigued by the concept, but I gave it a pass because it was a game system we weren't playing and I was unlikely to ever get to use it. Plus I didn't need to spend the money. Still, I was kicking myself for years.Last year, I believe, my wife picked up a POD copy for me. @art The one thing I really did like about Zen is when I was doing Safety Data Sheet searches on one site I use, it popped up a temporary page instead of always opening a second tab. I could pull up the info and just hit Esc to go back to the main search page. Pretty nice.

#Vivaldi for desktop is great IF I ignore the built-in adblocker, email and RSS client, and add #uBlock Lite and #PrivacyBadger.On #Android, however, Vivaldi struggles some wih blocking ads and some page reliability. As much as I dislike the direction #Mozilla is taking #AI in #Firefox, it's hard to beat with #uBlockOrigin and Privacy Badger. I just need to decide if I hate AI more than I like #OpenSource software and competing against #Chromium dominance and if I'm willing to have different browsers for mobile and desktop browsing.
