       @Tilopa That would be awesome. But my point is that women do not and will not accept this.  Women have always accessed abortion.  What varies is how safe it is. The unnecessary risks to women’s health and life inherent in the current situation will not go unpunished.  In a million ways, large and small, women will exact revenge.  At the ballot box, for starters.

       Can’t remember whose voices pointed this out for me. Hannah Arendt is surely in there somewhere.  In fiction (novels, movies, streaming), evil is often fascinating and mysterious, while the truly good is often banal and one-dimensional; but in real life, the opposite is true.  When I see pure goodness in this diseased and troubled world, I’m struck by its beauty and inexplicability.  I think about this a lot in recent years.
