@therobburgessshow I try to reframe it as, "...People who shouldn't have guns kill people."Even ardent gun nuts I've spoken with can't really disagree with that. Once you've established that there really are some people who shouldn't have access to guns (not just the mentally ill, but young children, people with a history of violence, etc), it's remarkable how quickly people come around to some form of common sense gun control

But that's not really true.The ones I consider nuts are people who actively look for, and even fantasize about, opportunities to legally kill someone. You know the type: People who joke about WANTING someone to try and rob their house, HOPING someone says, "Gimme your money." This is the mental illness we're really talking about
