@ocean I got to the last level on the first game by getting at least one game over on every stage. Couldn't finish the last level though. Never even got close to that on 2 or 3.Did getting game overs in 2 take away energy tanks? I feel like I remember that happening in one of them and that completely destroyed my ability to progress.

@p_ It started strong but the second half was just a tangent about pi which wasn't nearly as interesting to me as it was to the author. Maybe it was over my head.

@p_ Of course on further inspection I understood that the first half was just background info and what I originally took to be a tangent is in fact the central message of the paper. It is in fact over my head.

@papush i had a programming style class in uni where assignments were graded on a 2-point scale. 1 was "competent," 2 was "exceptional." graders were instructed to be stingy with the 2s.the problem with this is of course that "competent" ends up being "just barely passing." i don't remember how i managed a B in that class. there had to be some curving but i think also my grader was generous.

I like when a game says a controller is recommended but when I try to play with a controller I find that I very often need to press two non-opposing buttons at the same time or alternate quickly between them and my thumbs are not made for this and maybe the only reason they recommend a controller in the first place is they didn't get around to making a button mapping menu.

at first i was not a fan of nanami. she is kind of a terrible person. eventually it became clear that she is in fact the target of an absurd cosmic practical joke that never ends, and that she was only introduced in the way she was so that we understand she deserves everything she has coming to her.in this episode, nanami is wearing a designer brand cowbell. she is the only one who does not understand that this is humiliating. eventually she turns into a cow herself and utena has to play matador using a red sweater in order to get the bell off.
