@futurebird I really likethe strange spidery echo but I'm hung up on the red textured kick ballsPolite suggestion since you posted? (I hope it's not unwanted and if so, my sincerest apologies)You can hear the noise from the playground, squeals, shouts, laughter and also the strange spidery echo*es* of ~the~ red ~textured~ kick balls in the narrow alleyway in back."

@stux I imagine the people around you who aren't really aware of social media thinking you have some massive obsession with either the band or the animal. 😆

@stux ahh, that makes sense then.I've always heard that Unreal was troublesome and overkill for anything outside of like... 3D/cinema/etc. I have tried out Godot and Unity a little. I like(ed?) Godot. Their partnership/announcement with Arm makes me a touch nervous. The obvious drama of Unity... :flan_eyeroll:

@stux Well the Godot syntax is very pythony which would likely be considered my "home" language at this point. (originally C, online, etc.)But 200MB isn't freakyhuge or large at all.

@stux ahh, that makes sense. The draw of "building it yourself" kind of appeals to me on the one hand. Like the person who built Stardew? Not his success which is great...but the fact it is so deeply his. That's kind of cool.I don't think I have the art chops frankly. I am too analytically minded and though I like to tell stories, the idea of a "text-based" adventure sounds kind of cool.

@futurebird I think more people need to be aware of this.Just because one happens to know about, care about, or understand a problem doesn't mean that everyone does or will or even can.Experts need to ease use, not gatekeep it.

@briankrebs Reading this and I'm just... :loading: Why did we as a society stop helping others know when they have really bad ideas? I don't know the guy, but assuming he mentioned it somewhere... why didn't anyone say, "Hey man - you gonna write that password down at least?" or the more eloquent, "Are you stupid? That's a dumb idea."I get the draw...but "Hold my beer" levels of bad ideas used to have different ring...

@Viss :mind_blown: I have never "vibe coded" but I honestly thought it was "type stuff into AI tool".The code was allowed to execute on it's own?

@Viss Holy shit... I genuinely had no idea it ran like... "on main". I'm aware of kubernetes, containerization, VMs, etc... and even being able to contain them and kill them at will, I can't imagine trusting them to just... exist live.I'm not "anti-AI" existing. But that is giving the reigns of your corporation to a random person walking past you on the sidewalk and then taking a month-long hiatus.
