@stux There's a difference between caring and worrying. Worrying is more obsessive. It's also not that productive because you're worrying instead of acting.There also is a difference between what you can and cannot change. Worrying about things you can't change blinds you to the things you can. Take god out of it, and the serenity prayer is actually profound even if simple.You do have to quite that little demon that says you are not worthy or have no control though.

@stux Not green fields though. Down in Nevada there are huge fields of arrays. This probably helps the local wildlife that is probably struggling to adapt to the even hotter temperatures. I'm not a biologist though.And yeah, paved lots in the desert are furnaces. Shade is needed. Shit melts. There's no real reason why solar arrays can't be on top other than cost. Energy is already being adapted out in the desert and piped in so it's cheaper that way.

Seems like an awful lot of fear of something that can't happen.Before you get mad, remember: P->Q, !Q therefor !P is a fallacy. In other words it is completely possible that billionaires must not exist and that they CAN be held responsible.Probably way easier if you do so before you let them become billionaires by not holding them responsible.

@aral @Aseelsehwel @NouranKhaledGh @joynewacc @mohshbair @palestine You could design a certification program around this using verifiable credentials (https://www.w3.org/TR/vc-data-model-2.0/) that would allow you to give them something you've signed and contains stuff like maybe a link to an interview video or something that they can display as an emote or something--probably best if the video is embedded in the cert in case you get shut down and there's no place to put it. Or put it in a torrent in p2p land.

@futurebird You can apply this to everything you know.We've been letting the big ones take everything over for a long time now. I've tried to combat it with my own way of living for a while but it's a fucking pain in the ass and getting worse so I kinda gave up. Just got me made fun of most the time anyway.People COULD make a difference but until now have shown very little interest in doing so. Would rather the convenience and don't want to miss out on the fun.

@futurebird You walk upright but you evolved, for almost the entire history of your species, to walk on all fours. There are multiple, serious effects this has on the entire body. Especially in the back and abdominal organs, which can get tangled up and require surgery because they're supposed to hang on your spine for support but it's not there, it's on the side.You WILL have chronic back pain. Especially if you suffer any sort of minor injury like a tumble or something.

@futurebird Visitors too.You can't see it in all the video and stuff, but the whole downtown area smells like piss. Then it got humid.That was the one thing that really struck me when I went there for a job interview. The constant sense I was in a bathroom...and not a clean one.Surprised the rich want to live in that. I guess they're kinda up above it though.Imagine what it was like in the horse days. Though I do prefer the smell of horse shit to car shit. Healthier too?
