@benjaminwittes Frankly, I would have expected the eyesight argument to come up more often, specifically in Europe, because that's the avenue I would take if I was a Russian ambassador.To thus force you to jump through all the bureaucratic hoops, prove that the projector is certified, in an internationally recognized way, and guaranteed to be harmless for the intended use.

Dig up history lessons suggestive of parallels, implying that there might be something contained in there you could learn from, but then, when it comes to the last mile, namely the actual application of those parallels to the current situation, arguably the most interesting portion of the exercise anyway, that's what you're expected to accomplish yourself.
