@xahlee that genius comedian i follow is suddenly convinced "the moon landing was faked" . it's a little discouraging.

@xahlee you think your article was removed intentionally? could it be a glitch? i thought shadow banning was when you post on twitter or youtube and they dont notify all your followers because they don't like your politics.the guys i "follow" (scott adams, owen benjamin, styxhexenhammer666) are all being harassed by the platforms. now xah lee, apparently. i suppose you could consider it a badge of honor.

@xahlee Scott Adams says when he Google image searches himself, the 4th and 5th results are obscure phony twitter account photo-shopped images of him in a Nazi uniform! He is mad about that because he is not a Nazi sympathizer at all. Here's my Google search of "xah lee" results:

@xahlee theres also the alternative, pilot wave theory, discarded long ago, suddenly renewed interest with the bouncing oil drop experiment https://nerdist.com/pilot-wave-theory-video-will-make-you-totally-rethink-quantum-mechanics/

@xahlee not me! but my first exposure to Bejan and constructal law was this article that pointed out fish, although bouyant, are constrained by gravity because water is incompressible and must be LIFTED ever so slightly as they move through it. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/12/051230083922.htm

@xahlee let's see. probabilities. i should be able to do this 'cuz i sometimes do math for gaming companies. here we go!theres six ways one dice can roll, squared for a two die play is 36 outcomes, only one of which is double six. that means a 1/36 chance of a double six on each play.each subsequent play adds another chance, so after 24 there's a 2/3 likelihood one of 'em is double six. i'd still simulate to be sure, 'cuz good probability intuition is rare. remember the monty hall problem?

@xahlee marilyn vos savant. three doors, 1 prize, 2 duds. you, the player, choose a door. before the dealer reveals, he shows you a dud behind one of the other doors, and gives you the option to switch. should you?it's either perfectly obvious to you you should, or not. the arguments went on and on. a simulation quickly refutes the nonsense "logic".

@xahlee sorry! you did reply, i thought. first was your basic probabiliy problem, then we discussed the monty hall puzzle, and then i put out a link to Ask Marilyn https://parade.com/tag/ask-marilyn/

@xahlee i dont know. my behavior is constantly evolving. lately ive found myself sitting on the timeline, muting person after person for almost any reason at all, for example, anyone with an anime avatar, anything menacing, anyone with a cw or hidden media. anyone complaining, anything leftist, anything sexual, any one that triggers an aversive gut feeling at all.this whole thing is for entertainment, right? i wish i could mute entire instances!
