       @lps@video.1146.nohost.me is conversations not literally what you ask? I've had great success onbaording normals with it albeit needing a little bit of settings tweaks. Even better with self-hosting has been snikket. The app needs practically no tweaking for security out of the gate, it's a tweaked conversations, and doesn't confuse users with verification. Super for closed circles and allowing people to use that id for wider comms. both are on crappy stores and f-droid.
