@monorail hehehe always a good thing to have :)I'd say I love my reliable setup but I tinker with it too much for it to be considered "reliable" haha

Fun fact: my buildserver/public dev VM that's shared with a few friends is named after someone I met in uni orientation. They needed a server environment to run some OpenCV stuff in...and never used their VM I set up for them.

In the repair shop today, someone recycled a decently powerful HP laptop for some reason. It works, mostly - just a bad battery. Before I had the chance to start refurbishing it, though, my coworker Kevin began bouncing parts off it into the e-waste bin to its left. Thus, today it was christened `backboard` :)

@ToroidalCore yay low latency kernels haha :)lately i've just been using the upstream xanmod 5.10-rt kernel (got tired of compiling all the rt kernels by hand), which has been working quite well! admittedly my audio setup is somewhat silly, i'm running my DAW in a Win10 VM with its own separate USB controller and 48x48 audio interface :P

@foone Ooo. I've always wanted to pick up one of those, specifically to set up video-VHSification-as-a-service.

@foone honestly the thing that stops me is content filtering and output caching. we all know what the internet will do with a Free Data space...human-vetting input is the gold standard but has obvious problems.

@foone Pretty sure it doesn't matter for that specific modulator; IIRC it sums to mono internally.
