       Honestly, the #BlueSky thing yesterday was kind of fiasco. It was entertaining in the way Twitter was at times but it was a toxic nerd fest and no one here should be sad that the adults with hobbies chose Mastodon and the people with terminal poster’s brain chose BlueSky.And there were major moderation and harassment issues beneath the surface. It’s a closed beta with barely any users, all of whom were invited, and multiple people got their accounts suspended. #TwitterMigration #BlueSky

       @StillIRise1963 I’m in New Orleans and mine got increased after my insurer got bankrupted by the storm that hit Tampa. I’m not even in a flood zone and my house is raised 4ft and one company’s quote was $9000 a year. I got a quote for a little over half that but $5000 is still a big chunk of change.  For a house built above Katrina flood levels.
