@derek Nitrux has a MacOS feel to it. Was that done on purpose?

@derek So what you are saying is that your videos should be more professional now? :)

@derek when you link to your videos would you mind putting the odysee links? I use qutebrowser as my default browser however there are some websites that don't work with it or it has issues rendering those sites and it can be slow at times but other than that I really like it.

@derek I use the XKeys CST2545-5W. When they are available you can get them on Amazon but here is their direct page https://xkeys.com/l-tracblue.html It's hard to get these since they are made here in the US and they sell out quickly.

@derek I just never had a desire to learn lisp and just want an editor to be an editor not a browser or a PIM or a OS. Just a good editor that I can be efficient in.😀

@derek I'm glad you did this on Awk. I know everyone for some reason like sed. However I have always like AWK much more since it's similar to other languages I have used and use today. AWK complements C pretty good howver I have also been enjoying lua and think lua is a better drop in replacement for both awk and sed then again I guess one could say the same about python or any other scripting langague that can run from the console. I guess it really comes down to preference.

@derek IMHO you should write everything in LaTeX that way for those that are text challenged can use a WYSIWYG LaTeX editor. There are several out there for all platforms. I agree we certainly need to get away from all these stupid binary and proprietary formats if for no other reason that to be able to properly share documents with each other. At work I write my docs in LaTeX and covert them to pdf for those folks trapped in windows land.

@derek IMHO one should just replace GNOME with a tiling window manager. You have to customize your desktop anyway.

@luke So while you are driving you are debating the writing of a Soap Opera based in space that started back at the end of the last Century. Maybe you should contact George and let him know how wrong him and his writers was about the fiction they wrote. Very good job you did get me to click.

@derek I thought he was very fair but also very wrong. Linux != Windows; and I don't think it should ever be. You can't pick up a new OS and expect it to be the same as the OS you have been using. Gamers just want to play games and don't care about the OS unless it is what is stopping them from playing their fav. games. Gamers don't want to learn a new OS unless they are forced too.

@derek Well you could do this with vim https://thomer.com/howtos/netrw_ssh.html and use your local copy of vim to edit remote files. With netrw you don't need to leave vim to have fun with remote files. Anyway excellent video even if it was a bit of vim bashing.
