I guess moving to a new instance means it's time for an #introduction.Hello, I’m cketti, an open source developer living in Berlin, Germany.For the past 8 years I've been the maintainer of K-9 Mail, an open source email client for Android. In June of this year I joined the Thunderbird project to turn K-9 Mail into Thunderbird on Android. Follow @thunderbird to see how that is coming along.I don't post a lot. When I do, it's most likely about #OpenSource, #AndroidDev, or #Email.

I was a bit annoyed that Common Kotlin lacked even basic support for Unicode code points. So I created a small Kotlin Multiplatform library to fix that.https://github.com/cketti/kotlin-codepoints#kotlin

Changing the accent color in K-9 Mail revealed that approximately 95% of the people who dislike pink (so much they had to tell us about it) can't communicate this fact without being rude.

I've been an Android developer for … *checks calendar* … more than 15 years. It was a nice enough platform and the developer community is awesome.But with Google's planned changes to turn Android into yet another walled garden, I'm seriously considering doing something else 😞
