People often joke about Emacs being an OS not an editor, but for me that's like my favorite feature. Being able to open a PDF or online docs (with eww) in a split view right next to a code editor is amazing and something I do all the time. Sure, I could get something similar with a tiling WM but a consistent theme and shortcuts makes this so much nicer. I also regularly work on macOS, Linux, and Windows, so having this cross-platform is a major plus.

@deech Intriguing, meow always seemed interesting. After over 20 years vim key bindings are deep in my brain, or so I thought. When I tried out Helix for a month it took me like 3 days to get to 90% productivity.

I know that probably nobody cares about this but I try to keep my blog readable with text-mode browsers like #w3m because that's the type of Internet I still believe in and don't want to lose.
