How many people on here walking around with their entire music collection offlined on an Android DAP with no WiFi or BT? Just me. It’s lonely being weird. #audio #android #dap

So foobar2000 for iOS has a built in FTP tool to transfer music to your iPhone. No more Android DAP with outdated security patches for me! #audiophile #mobile #foobar2000 #ios #ftp

@tux0r yeah I noticed that but it looks a lot more cluttered than foobar. I’m hoping whenever I upgrade to a usb c iPhone there may be much simpler file transfer that way. Or I could simply carry around a 3TB usb c drive so I have that on tap for music.

@vkc @TechConnectify yes. Linux is like owning your computer instead of it owning you.

@daniel @signalapp this comment is not professional in any definition of the word. It's also not very constructive. You can't build bridges by firing cannons.

@BrodieOnLinux I think I want to buy a Pebble watch now. I had the original, was pretty dope at the time.

@mntmn Maybe the question isn't "should you?" I think it's pretty damn neat you can do this locally and completely offline. For the savvy of us, it puts more pressure, I think, on companies to provide more on-device options.

So are hipsters using Plan 9 or derivatives? Can someone please explain the use case beyond this? This is a real question, not being facetious. #plan9 #9front #plan9front

Why did I never notice that esims take up so much space on your phone? Was little over 5GB on a Pixel just for esim. That's crazy.

@i I should have taken a screenshot of it. It was in settings>network&internet>SIMs total was over 5GB, didn't really dig any deeper. Especially since I wasn't using the phone anymore. Just deleted the esim.

When Puff Daddy turned out to be a scum bag, that hurt but life goes on. You listen to different music. When big tech turns out to be a scumbag, what is the alternative? Samsung flip phones? Duckduckgo? MapQuest? I'm at the point where I don't want anything to do with companies that willingly go along with nonsense for what must be monetary gains. Is anyone making serious changes to their tech based on this disgust or am I just overreacting and this will blow over? #bigtech #google #meta #amazon #apple #gulfofmexico

@rqm fer OpenBSD, what's your DE of choice? I see a lot of folks running just like cwm, which is great but it stinks for laptop screens and old eyes. Maybe there is a resolution option or scaling I have not come across yet. Still in my early days of using any BSD.

@stefano great write up. Hit all major points fairly. It's good to see FreeBSD and Debian still kicking ass.
