@Nonilex yeah, I can't wait until I go into the local Best Buy And tell them that I'm only going to pay half price for that desktop on the display, because Best Buy is supposed to pay the rest of the tariff. I'm sure that the blue shirts that will try to sell me the computer will be laughing their collective heads off with that statement. At this point, I'm about ready to pull out the old floppy disks that I've had in the closet since 1997.

@Nonilex Apparently the speaker of the house essentially said that workers won't get back pay during the shutdown. And I would wager that would include the "essential workers" who are currently forced to work (i.e., TSA) without pay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuyTP8kaiz8
