       My intuition is that some variance in income is useful as an incentive, but I don't buy Paul Graham's idea that "increasing variation in income is a sign of health".        @interfluidity I'd favor a progressive tax for companies: a lower tax on small ones, and a larger tax rate on big companies. Big companies are the champions of today, but are the takeover targets of tomorrow. Let's tax them while they're big, and accelerate the creative destruction.(to be clear, I have no idea whether corporate tax is progressive at all; maybe it is)
