Today I learned that the word “dongle" did not in fact come from the name "Don Gall". That was an urban legend started by a 1992 ad in Byte magazine, which is probably where I came across it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DongleSometimes the truth can be disappointing.

Weeks later, I still can’t get over these rendered “aerial photos” of Tenochtitlan: https://tenochtitlan.thomaskole.nl/ Something about them brings the city closer in a way I haven’t seen before. It feels more real, and also more familiar. I can see how it later inspired San Francisco. #urbanism
