There's an even simpler way to discover who understands capitalism at all. You alluded to it in mentioning the notion of "redistributing the billionaires' wealth", as if there'd be a division of a pile of cash, à la Scrooge McDuck playing in a vault of cash and gold coins. Most billionaires' wealth stems from their majority ownership of the capitalist companies that they've built, often from the ground up. In other words, they 'created' wealth that had not existed, and that wealth is now represented by the value of their often wildly successful ventures … selling 'stuff' to people who want to buy it. That wealth isn't very fungible; distributing it will destroy it.
