@njoseph big part of this problem is that any activity not part of the original system design or not to the benefit of the powers that be, something that hackers excel at, is easily seen as a criminal activity by those in power.

@webmind France does this nonsense is there since the solidarity crisis, euphemistically known as the "migrant crisis", of a few years back and it has been there ever since. Another example that, losing rights can happen any day of the week, but getting them back takes a revolution.

@webmind It always reminds me that The Netherlands is actually one of the earliest examples of modern a republic, founded in 1588. The current crop of royals only got installed in 1813 after the French kingdom collapsed. Had interim rulers of '13 been more enlightened, We'd all be spared this patronizing medieval theatre.

Today was the Forth time this year that a blockage of the sewer on the street means waste water comes flooding out of a shower in my house (it's the lowest point on the street it seems). Privatized water company comes in and temporarily fixes the blockage and does some cleanup but never solving the root cause... Because that costs too much, thus not profitable. Meanwhile, I'm left with the externality of damp wall fungus and rooms I cannot trust not to be flooded on random days.

And the party continues. Black water was gushing out of the shower this morning again. Good thing I didn't have the stamina to clean the mess up yesterday evening.
