@stefano I would say a combination of all 3, but definitely #1 and #3. You also probably did not talk down to them, but as equals or at least with respect. I should poke again at FreeBSD. Haven't played with it since the early aughts.

Step 1 to moving off of Substack is complete. I've imported/manually moved all my posts from the old Blogger and Substack to a self-hosted Wordpress. As soon as I figure out my podcast options, I'm deleting my Substack and linking to my self-hosted options.I won't delete the Blogger, simply because I want to avoid linkrot, but I'll make it clear it's not updated anymore. #SubstackMigration

We didn't have glasses, so we did the old fashioned "look at the eclipse of the sun through a colander" method. Worked great! This was taken at the maximum coverage (approx 2:03pm US CDT)

In updating my browsers to this, one of the things that Vivaldi makes much easier than Firefox is maintaining custom searches. Out of the box, Firefox doesn't allow you to do that, you have to remove the old URL and retype it all in.

@tk That being said, the QRZ1 is a nice little radio! It's a simple one to set up and use, not a lot of bells and whistles, but everything you need to hit repeaters on 2m and 70cm (VHF/UHF) bands! I like it, I'm keeping it programmed in tandem w/my Yaesu FT-65R as a backup radio and it works fine with the Signal Stick I share between the two (using BNC adapter)

Two Cylon Centurions nearly took out the two Marine NPCs in tonight's Traveller game. CT combat is fast, furious and deadly.
