@clive @isaaccp I’ve heard Korean is a modern logical writing as well. It’s interesting how easy writing letters and numbers could have been if we were able to invent new ones. I wonder how negative numbers would be shown. I would have preferred the four locations in an (anti)clockwise way. Also, grouping by four digits is not helping SI prefixes.

@isaaccp @clive I only remember seeing it mentioned somewhere, but for a writing system invented in the 1400s, where a character represents a whole syllable, it’s supposed to be very easy to learn:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangul

@apps I’m thinking the idea is even simpler than to let the bullies keep their voice. It’s probably because blocking was a great way to remove *advertisers* from your timeline.

@hedders @EdS @timlocke @Datassette_User But it's still weird. ARexx was around as an independent product by Bill Hawes since the Kickstart 1.x times, not as a Commodore/Amiga project. Although at the time ARexx was indeed coming around as the best thing since sliced bread, so maybe it indeed was desirable enough to discuss it with IBM (and Bill?).

@stux This was the tv “programme” that got me on the right path to computers that i kept reading about. I have also got the book, from which I learned the basics of well.. BASIC. It was such a revelation what a FOR NEXT loop actually does. Am I old or what. #TheComputerProgramme
