@BrodieOnLinux A while back, I used to see quite a bit of people from the mozilla instance, but it's become rarer now that you mention it. Probably because of Mozilla's decisions in the past few years.

@BrodieOnLinux Weird, must be thinking of the matrix server because I could've sworn it was around a lot longer than that.

@BrodieOnLinux I really hope python2 isn't still default on OpenSUSE, that would mean at this point, Slackware is ahead of them 😅

@TotalSonic When I got my first PC in '06, I had a ball mouse. I hated it, and still do... but a part of me misses that frustration of the jankness of old accessories =P

@shalien Wouldn't say gitlab is "evil", just that they are a for-profit company, and a lot of features are locked behind the paid version. But the free version of gitlab is perfectly usable, and many FOSS projects use it, such as Gnome and Freedesktop.

@BrodieOnLinux I'm starting to assume they just haven't ever had a plan, and just do whatever is cool at silicon valley =PTheir graveyard has to be almost as big as Google's at this point.

@ptribble I'll be the devil's advocate and say that these OS' target enterprise computers, and so would rather have the pretty sizeable performance gains over supporting some x86 chips from before 2013 that most enterprises more than likely don't have.

@BrodieOnLinux I was running into a bug where Xorg was constantly probing the size of monitor, and it caused the log file (Xorg.0.log) to balloon to the hundreds of gigabytes. So I gave KDE5 wayland a try, and it worked so well, that by the end of the week I had actually forgotten I was using wayland now lolIn case anyone is wondering, that bug was caused by some interaction between Mesa and Xorg, and has since been fixed.
