@xerz that really is a very impressive project man. i love the dedication and determination and curiosity, well done. i never used apple products but that award bios screen was a real nostalgia hit, i remember that from my first pc (it came with an encarta cd! it did "multimedia"!)i'd love to have it in front of me now so i could play elite and dark forces (had to use a floppy that did something to free up memory for the game to run)

at the vets today and my heart sank when i saw it was a young lad only barely out of college was going to be treating our feline family member. how wrong i was. not only had he covered the steel exam table with a blanket and placed a cat-sized weighing-scales in a place where a cat would naturally gravitate towards, he'd sprayed the blanket with some stuff designed to relax cats and dogs. interesting that so-called millennials are the people who most frequently challenge my misanthropy.

@wjmaggos how can you have any kind of democratic culture when the most powerful actors in society are limited companies answerable only to shareholders, whose number and identity can always be rendered obscure?"markets" and democracy are antithetical. capitalism succeeds by being syncretistic. there's nothing it can't co-opt, and thereby corrupt. it's a mechanism that makes ingsoc look hilariously clumsy. markets = #profitism, they have no other raison d'etre.
