@a is there any cloud provider offering NBD? 🤣 srsly: zswap and zram are really great things on linux, practically doubling your physical ram. even on machine with 64+GB RAM its nice to have swappiness = 95, things that are rarely or never used become compressed making space for more caches and memory that is frequently needed.

@gh0stz0x @delta @lyyn Where did I complain? Actually I always praise the DeltaChat team for being one of the few teams which makes very good decisions. There are only few things and ideas where I would *like* deltachat to be improved in future. The point here is that DeltaChat goes its own way not exaclty just cloning other messengers. This is a big chance to make it more awesome.

@delta @alandes @lyyn I second that. I like the edit and delete features. For future I only wish this will eventually become more 'bullet proof' like I mentioned. *Without* sacrificing the UX.This means that it should be clear that either of this features is kindof 'voluntary' because a recipient can always keep a copy of the earlier message saved elsewhere. This should (and must) be transparently communicated to users. 1/2

@delta @alandes @lyyn2/2 by tranparently it may actively ask an user "Sender X wants message Y deleted. Do you want to comply [yes]/[no]?". On a second thought this might be the *safer* option because when the recipient is reliable he may notice to delete backups/saved versions as well. When the recipient is not trusted for some reason then silently deleting the message wouldn't improve safety either way.
